We appreciate everyone who took some time out of their day to join CPD and our partners from the FBI for Coffee With a Cop last Thursday 05/21. Thank you to Jay and his crew at the Frontier Market for hosting the gathering.
At about 12:00PM on Thu. 05/21 a drunk driver ran into an occupied CPD vehicle, which was stationary in the parking lot of Village Hall at 4324 Corrales RD. The CPD member is okay, the 67-year-old Corrales man who caused the collision was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and he is being summoned into Magistrate Court for Aggravated DUI and Reckless Driving.
At approximately midnight on Sat. 05/23 CPD responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash off of Loma Larga RD near Cabezon RD. All three vehicle occupants were properly buckled up and none of them sustained any injuries. The driver, a 19-year-old Gallup man, was cited for failure to exercise due care.
Please take some time today to remember and honor those who gave their lives protecting our great nation while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Thank you, have a safe Memorial Day and rest of the week and remember:
SEE IT, HEAR IT, REPORT IT!
